I have been watching the very entertaining programme currently available on BBC Iplayer presented by Dr David Eagleman. If you haven’t watched it, you can view it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06y8hyr/the-brain-with-david-eagleman-1-what-is-reality
The programme is choc full of great insights and delivered in a manner which makes the science easily accessible for everyone to enjoy. The great thing for me is how Dr Eagleman present complicated subject matter in such an informal style. This can be a very tricky feat to pull off, and it is an area of my work I am always trying to improve on. Working with groups of substance misusers who are at different stages of recovery, and who have experienced different levels of education, can make delivering inputs around perception and reality particularly hard to pitch. Dr Eagleman’s programme offers something for everyone, perfect viewing for those interested in science and seeking answers, but who want to have fun on their journey.
